The Prospectors Prospect:
Photographs showing type of country and prospecting activities on the deep lead at Boogardie near Mount Magnet on the Murchison where a rush occurred a few months ago. Although no sensational values have been disclosed several prospectors have crushed the deep alluvial for a return from 6 to 10 dwt per ton.
1. Mr McMann’s shaft on the Boogardie deep lead.
2. Boring a sample hole on the Boogardie deep lead.
3. Messrs J Atkinson and S Allen jumping a hole down on the deep lead at Boogardie.
4. Locality of the deep lead at Boogardie. In the background can be seen the white dumps of some of the claims. Note the sparce bush growth.
